SEASCAPE IN GREEN

Do you just want to jump in?  Here is the piece in its entirety to go along with the detail below.  It’s hard to grasp the large scale of this piece- 5′ x 7′. Massive.  Took a lot longer to complete than I had planned but I enjoyed every minute I spent creating the finished work of art.  My client hasn’t received it yet (maybe this will be their first glance if they are following my blog).  But it cannot compare to the piece in person.  There is no way a photo can translate the color and texture as it is in person.

I’m planning on doing a 15′ piece once I get a new studio space that can handle that scale.  I will have another piece complete this week-  it is a complete departure from my water series.  Just finishing some final touches.  Prepare to be shocked!

Finally complete!! I have just crated and shipped out my latest painting to my client in Nebraska.  It will be installed in their living room I designed; giving the space the punch of color it needed.  In a couple of weeks, I’ll post a photo of it hanging in its final installation space.

As you can see, the texture is as beautiful as the color.  The ocean, sky, and coral work together to create movement on the canvas.  As your eye travels left to right, top to bottom, the water seems to ebb and flow with every glance; creating at times a surge of energy, at other times a calming recede.  The work is alive on the canvas.

This is the second piece in my series of water and sky.  I am taking a departure from water  to do a few pieces in my graffiti series.  Starting with a palette painting and moving into a new medium of spray paint.  Should be interesting to use a can instead of a brush.  Keep you posted…
